UTAH RURAL STATE HIGHWAY MAIN STREET PROJECT

STATEWIDE, UTAH

Rural communities all over Utah face the challenge that their Main Streets are also Utah state highways, presenting barriers to creating walkable community gathering places. Township + Range is working with the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) to create a guide for these communities to use with UDOT to improve their Main Streets. The guide will establish agreed-upon ways to approach elements such as pedestrian crossings, lane reconfigurations, bike facilities, and streetscapes.
